You might remember Reb Yankel from the old FTR days. He used to come and sit in on a lot of shows with me and tons of shows with Avi Newmark. He also was the star of many drycast commercials.
Anyway… I am sure most of you have heard about all the bans that are taking place in the Jewish community these days. If you haven’t you should start reading Jewish blogs, especially Life-Of-Rubin he writes about all the bans from concerts to stores. Of course whenever there is controversy their is Reb Yankel, he came on the air to let everyone know what he thought about all the bans……
COLD… Quil To The Rescue!!!
man i guess winter is finally here. yes i know it doesnt officially start until decmeber 22nd this year but, man it is cold out here in NYC. The start of thew winter in my opinion is when i get my first Cold and it is here.
It settled in Wednesday night, and caused my absence from “YoDo on the Radio” my weekday show on OlamRadio.com. I wont let any cold take me down for long. After some nice long Shabbos Naps, and tons of cold medicine, Baruch Hashem I am feeling much better and should be back on the air Monday morning IYH.

As I am sure you know The Shmooze is returning to the air and one of its first new guests is going to be Aryeh Kunstler. When Aryeh Stopped By at the studio to record the show last week, (yes the shmoozes are usually pre-recorded) He and Yosef Dov formed a Band YoDo on drums and Aryeh on guitar. After a few songs it was time for the band to break up but a picture of the momentous occasion was taken. enjoy the pic and leave some comments.

“Hey YoDo, When is FiveTownsRadio coming back on air?”
That is probably the #1 question I am always asked by people. Well i figure the best place to answer that would be on my blog. the answer is probably never. Wait before you get all upset let me explain what happened.
“what happend to FTR?”
That is likely the second most popular question that is shot my way these days. The answer is long and difficult but i will try to keep it short and simple.
If you remember the FTR servers crashed? well a few weeks before that i left my spot in the FTR offices to start up a new venture. I still remained involved in FTR and did all of my previous duties but I was not there all the time. At the same time my partners at FTR were very busy and involved in many different business ventures.
I was in charge of the station, all that you heard on it, and saw on our website. My partners were in charge of the dollars and cents. Alot of problems were happening at once so they decided not to relaunch the station and to wait until they could spend more time on the project. I spoke to them today and they said they don’t plan on bringing it back anytime soon. They said that it needs to make more sense to them time vs. money and when it does maybe they might be ready to relaunch.
I was hoping like all of you that one day FTR would come back but I don’t think it ever will.
“So what do we do?”
let me tell you something, I miss listening to FTR and i know thousands of you out there miss it too. just by looking at the emails that i still get today over a year after we stopped broadcasting, shows that people still miss it. The void must be filled. I have a feeling in a few weeks it will be!!!

Well this is it, the First Blog Post on my brand spanking new YosefDov.com Blog. I am so super excited to finally have my own Blog and even more excited to have you here reading it. I will try to post here as much as I can and offer tons of cool pictures, videos, links, stories, and news. Please check back here as often as you can and get your full share of my Blog.
Let me and my first post begin with a cool photo. I got married on September 3rd and a few weeks before then I was out in Manhattan with my then fiancé and now wife, Soshia. We passed by a building with this awesome awning. My first thought was to pull out my camera phone and have Soshia snap a picture.
